Frameless by Panda Apps
Last Updated: October 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how we ("we," "us," or "our") handle information in connection with your use of our mobile application Frameless (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.
Frameless is designed so your photos stay on your device: all photo analysis runs locally and your photos are never uploaded for processing. We operate no servers and no user accounts — nothing about your library is sent to us.
Four features do involve third parties: Pro subscriptions, anonymous analytics, optional place-name lookup for photo locations, and store-provided app updates and reviews. Each is disclosed below, along with exactly what leaves your device.
We do not ask for, collect, store, or transmit any information that identifies you. The App requires no account, no sign-in, and no personal details — no name, email address, phone number, or contacts.
The App keeps its working data locally on your device, using standard device storage. We cannot read it. It includes:
You can delete all of it at any time by using "Clear All Data" in Settings, clearing the App's data in your device settings, or uninstalling the App.
Some data is sent to the service providers described under Third-Party Services:
None of this is shared with an advertising network, and none of it is used to build a profile of your photo library.
The App shows no third-party advertisements and contains no advertising or tracking SDKs. It does rely on the following third-party services.
Frameless Pro is an auto-renewable subscription, not a one-time purchase. It unlocks unlimited Sort swipes, similar-photo groups, the best-shot picker, OCR screenshot search, detailed storage analytics, and the private vault. Exact duplicate detection, blur detection, screenshot detection, a daily-limited Sort, and the basic storage visualizer are free and do not require a subscription.
The paywall lists whichever Pro subscription terms are available at the time you look at it — weekly, monthly, and annual — and shows each one's billing period before you confirm. Prices and available terms are set by Apple and Google, not by us, and are shown in your local currency.
Renewal and cancellation. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time through your store's subscription settings — the App's "Manage subscription" button opens that page directly. Cancelling stops future charges; Pro stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, and re-enabling auto-renew restores it. If you let a subscription lapse, Pro features lock again until you resubscribe. "Restore Purchases" is available if you reinstall the App or switch devices.
Purchases are billed by the Apple App Store or Google Play to the payment method on your store account. We never see or store your payment details. RevenueCat, the subscription service we use, may collect:
RevenueCat caches your entitlement status on your device so Pro keeps working offline. Your photos, photo metadata, and library contents are never shared with RevenueCat, Apple, or Google as part of a purchase.
RevenueCat's privacy policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy. Store purchases and receipts are also subject to Apple's privacy policy and Google's privacy policy.
The App includes Firebase Analytics, which automatically collects anonymous usage statistics such as:
The App sends no custom analytics events. Firebase never receives your photos, thumbnails, file names, GPS coordinates, vault contents, or your keep/delete decisions, and we do not use its data to track which photos you delete, keep, or move to the vault. Advertising ID collection is switched off in the Android build, and the App never requests iOS tracking permission or reads the iOS advertising identifier.
There is no in-App switch to disable analytics. You can limit it at the OS level — on iPhone, "Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics → Share iPhone Analytics"; on Android, Google services settings to delete or reset this App's Google data — or by removing the App, which discards its analytics identifier.
Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
When you open a photo's info panel and that photo has GPS coordinates, the App sends the coordinate pair to BigDataCloud's reverse-geocoding service to show a human-readable "City, Country" label. Only the latitude and longitude are sent — never the photo, its file name, or any other metadata. Nothing is sent for photos without coordinates, and if the lookup fails or you are offline, the App simply shows the raw coordinates instead.
Results are cached in memory for the current session (up to 500 coordinate pairs) so browsing does not repeat the same lookup. The cache is discarded when the App closes and is never written to your device's storage.

Frameless includes no crash-reporting or error-reporting service, and no advertising, attribution, or A/B-testing SDKs.
Frameless displays no third-party ads and uses no advertising SDKs. We do not track which photos you delete, keep, or move to the vault for advertising purposes.
To find duplicates, similar photos, screenshots, and blurry shots, the App needs permission to read your photo library. With your permission, the App:
Photo analysis runs locally on your device. We do not upload your photos or thumbnails to cloud servers, and we never have access to your library contents. The one exception is the location label: viewing a photo's info panel sends that photo's coordinates (not the photo) to a place-name service, as described under Third-Party Services. Photos are only deleted when you explicitly choose to delete them (trash confirmation), and deletions are performed through the operating system's standard photo APIs. You can revoke photo access at any time through your device settings, though the App requires it to function.
The private vault (a Pro feature) lets you hide selected photos behind your device's biometric lock (Face ID, fingerprint, or device passcode). The vault stores only local references to the photos you choose to hide — the photos themselves stay in your device's photo library and are never uploaded anywhere. On Android the App also blocks screenshots and screen recordings while the vault is open, using the operating system's secure-window flag.
Biometric authentication is handled entirely by your device's operating system. We never see, collect, or store your biometric data (face or fingerprint). You can remove items from the vault or clear all App data at any time through the App's interface. Note that the vault's references are part of the App's local data: clearing App data or uninstalling removes the list, though the photos themselves remain untouched in your library.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the information stored locally on your device. However, please be aware that no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You have the following rights regarding your information:
Legal bases (GDPR / UK GDPR). Where the GDPR applies, we rely on performance of a contract for subscription purchases and on our legitimate interests in operating, measuring, and securing the App for everything else — including anonymous analytics and place-name lookups.
No consent prompt and no analytics opt-out. To be clear about what actually happens: the App does not show you a consent prompt, and it has no in-App switch to turn analytics off. Anonymous usage statistics begin when you use the App and stop when you remove it. Place-name lookups happen only in response to you opening a photo's info panel. If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland and would rather not have analytics collected, you can prevent or erase it using the device controls described under Analytics above — or simply by not using the App. You also have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests.
California (CCPA/CPRA). We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so we do not offer a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link. We do not collect sensitive personal information. To exercise any right, use the contact details below.
Complaints. If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland and you are unsatisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
Your photo library data stays on your device and is never transferred. The limited data described under Third-Party Services does reach providers outside your country: Google (Firebase Analytics and Play), RevenueCat, BigDataCloud, and Apple or Google for purchases. Each provider handles that data under its own privacy policy and applies its own international transfer safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
Your continued use of the App after any modifications to this Privacy Policy will constitute your acknowledgment of the modified Privacy Policy.
Frameless is not directed to children under 13, or under 16 in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the App has no age gate, so we ask parents and guardians to supervise younger users' use of it.
The App does collect limited technical data regardless of age — an anonymous App user ID for subscriptions, device and app information for analytics, and purchase records — but it never asks for a name, email address, contacts, or precise location, and it cannot identify you by name. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
This Privacy Policy is designed to comply with:
By using the App you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy and understand what it describes. It does not narrow any right or consent that your local law may give you.
What We Collect: Almost nothing. We ask for no personal details and run no servers. Your scan results, settings, vault references, and Pro status stay on your device.
What Leaves Your Device: Anonymous usage statistics (Google Firebase Analytics), your subscription and purchase records (RevenueCat and the app stores), and — only when you open a photo's info panel — that photo's GPS coordinates (BigDataCloud). Sharing a photo is something you initiate through your device's share sheet.
Your Photos: Never uploaded. All analysis, including OCR, runs on your device.
Third Parties: RevenueCat and the app stores process the Frameless Pro auto-renewable subscription (weekly, monthly, or annual — cancel any time from your store's subscription settings, and Pro stays active until the period you paid for ends); Firebase (Google) collects anonymous analytics; BigDataCloud resolves coordinates into place names. There are no ads, no advertising SDKs, and no crash-reporting service.
Your Control: Delete all local data any time with "Clear All Data" in Settings, uninstalling, or your device's app-data settings. Cancel your subscription directly in the App Store or Google Play.
